What is Real Gold Jewellery?
Real Gold Jewellery is made of real gold, which makes it the perfect luxury gift for yourself or a loved one. While our usual, everyday jewellery might be silver, titanium, or even silicone, why not spice up your life by indulging in a gorgeous piece of gold jewellery, perfect for those special occasions?
Why Should I Choose Real Gold Jewellery?
We understand that splurging on real gold might not be something you want to do lightly. But gold jewellery isn’t just a luxury item: gold also has a lot of beneficial qualities, which may make it more desirable than other jewellery materials.
Gold Jewellery Benefits:
-
Pure gold is nickel-free, which makes it hypoallergenic and perfect for people with metal sensitivities.
-
Gold is also one of the most durable jewellery metals, perfect for long-term statement pieces that won’t tarnish.
-
Versatility is key- with our range of gold jewellery, you can pick out the best value for you, along with the perfect style, cut, and colour.
What’s The Difference Between Different Types of Gold Jewellery?
-
9ct Gold- This is the lowest value of gold we offer on our website. Because it has a lower percentage of pure gold, it also contains other metal alloys. This means that any 9ct jewellery isn’t ideal for fresh piercings or for people with metal sensitivities. Once your piercings are healed, however, you can wear 9ct gold jewellery without any problem. With the same aesthetic and shine as other gold, 9ct gold is the most affordable, versatile type of gold jewellery in our collection.
-
14k Gold- 14k Gold contains a higher proportion of pure gold, but still has some metal components, which make it a little harder than pure gold. This makes 14k gold the perfect balance: You can use it in fresh, newly pierced piercings, and be confident that it will remain shiny and untarnished for years to come.
-
18k Gold- This is the most valuable gold jewellery on our website. Often, this jewellery is more expensive than its less valuable counterparts. As this type of gold contains fewer metal alloys, it is hypoallergenic. However, it is also much softer than our other gold jewellery, and for this reason, we recommend that you don’t wear it in fresh or new piercings. Luxurious, durable, and perfect for making a real statement with your long-term jewellery!
-
White Gold- Another gorgeous section of our real gold jewellery is White Gold. With all the same properties as regular gold, white gold jewellery is created from gold and alloys to replicate the priceless look of platinum jewellery. We don’t recommend using white gold jewellery in new piercings, but with all the durability of pure gold, it’s the perfect alternative for healed piercings.

FAQs
How do I care for my new piercing?
New piercings are very sensitive, and it’s important to allow them to heal in their own time, without irritating them. While your piercing is still healing, you should never remove your piercing jewellery or try to swap it out for a new one.
It’s also very important to keep your new piercing completely clean. To do this, you can use our Pro Pierce Ultimate Solution; Vegan, cruelty-free, antibacterial, and dermatologist tested- it’s the perfect solution for any new piercings.

Can I use Real Gold Jewellery in my new piercing?
Yes! However, it’s important to remember that different types of gold have different properties. 14k Gold is harder than 18k, and purer than 9ct, which means that it’s ideal for new piercings. Once your piercings have healed, you can use 9ct Gold and 18k Gold without worrying about your piercing. If you’re looking for other alternatives for your new piercings, you can try PVD-Gold. This features a titanium hypoallergenic base with a plasma gold coating. All the glitz and glamour of real gold, and perfect for fresh piercings!
How do I maintain my Real Gold Jewellery?
The great thing about real gold jewellery is that it needs really minimal maintenance. You can wear it every day, even in the shower, and it won’t get tarnished for a long time. Lower value gold, like 9ct, will tarnish quicker than 18k Gold.
Just clean your jewellery regularly, and remember to avoid harsh chemicals like chlorine.
Is it worth buying Real Gold Jewellery?
We’ve made it to the end of the blog, and to the most important question of all- Is Real Gold Jewellery worth it?
In our opinion, yes. Real gold might have a slightly higher price tag, but sometimes quality is worth a little more. And with stunning deals like our new Summer Piercing Offer, you can be sure you’re always getting the best prices for gold on the market.
