Does angel bite piercing hurt?
The angel bites piercing is located on the upper lip which can be a sensitive area due to nerve endings. Therefore, this type of piercing may hurt more than lower lip piercings where less nerve endings are located. Many people describe a feeling of pressure when having angel bites done.
What do you eat after an angel bite piercing?
After your angel bite piercing you will need to be careful how and what you eat. Eat very gently and take small bites to reduce the amount of movement to your lip piercing. During the first couple of weeks you may want to stick to soft cold food as this is less likely to irritate your new angel bite piercing. Avoid spicy, sticky, and crunchy foods as these can re-open the piercing wound and get stuck in the piercing jewellery. After your angel bite piercing has healed you can eat whatever you want.

Are angel bite piercings bad for your teeth?
Lip piercings such as the angel bite piercing can be bad for your teeth due to their position. All lip and tongue piercings carry the risk of rubbing against your gums and teeth. In serious cases this can lead to red gums and receding gums. If you catch your piercing jewellery against your teeth you may wear away the enamel or cause the tooth to chip. Maintaining good oral hygiene and wearing small piercing jewellery will help to limit these potential risks
How long does it take angel bites to heal?
The angel bites piercing usually takes between 2 - 3 months to heal, providing the correct aftercare instructions are followed. To help make the healing process as quick and smooth as possible, simply follow these steps: Rinse your mouth well with a saltwater solution. Clean the outer area of your piercings with cotton balls soaked in a saltwater solution twice a day. Clean your teeth gently with a soft bristled brush. Don't fiddle or play with the piercing and only touch it with clean hands. Avoid alcohol and cut down on caffeine as these substances could increase the swelling. Avoid smoking and chewing gum.
How much do angel bites cost?
In the UK, angel bites cost an average of £50 - £55. The price reflects the cost of having two piercings at once and also is indicative of the experience level needed by your piercer to safely carry out this piercing. The prices will be nearer £55 if you chose high quality piercing jewellery which we recommend because it can help with healing and reduce potential irritation or allergic reaction.
Why are they called angel bites?
The angel bites piercing is also sometimes known as the double Madonna or the anti-bite. The name anti-bite stems from the fact that angel bites are the opposite of snake bites which are positioned on the lower lip. Angel bites are done on both sides of the upper lip for a more striking look.
